Hunter Technology designs, fabricates and assembles printed circuit boards with an emphasis on devices used in medical and military applications. The company was founded in 1968 to support the ever growing demands of the electronic engineering community. Joe O'Neil, Vice President and GM, points out that a major key to the company's success is continuity. The average tenure is 11 years — even longer for the technical staff — a very long time in the industry. This is most likely thanks to the continuing education and career advancement opportunities offered to employees, as well as to Hunter being a high-quality, professional workplace.

Because of how their products are used, there's no margin for error. Mr. O'Neil points out that a pacemaker doesn't need to be just okay, it needs to be robust and reliable. The designers and fabricators work as a team under one roof and the staff is cross-trained so that there's an understanding of all functions. As a result, Hunter has a reputation for presenting project improvements to the customer for review.

Hunter Technology's customers are engineers, and for competitive reasons, they need the boards produced quickly. Hunter Technology does this while maintaining high quality and industry leading reliability. Hunter Technology continues to evolve, not only in its core competency, but also in the advanced technology that it offers.
