Schuck’s Transmission is a family owned and operated company that opened its doors in 1967. Current owner Ed Schuck, Jr. is the second-generation proprietor of the company founded by his father and uncles. The shop currently has locations in both Hayward and Dublin.

Schuck’s shines when it comes to working on engines and transmissions. Their mechanics actually build and race their own engines, so they really know what makes a vehicle tick. They work on both standard and automatic transmissions and also do transfer case, drive-line and rear end work. They’ll take on light automotive repair as well. Both domestic and foreign vehicles are welcomed.

The shop is open Monday through Friday and can often accommodate clients who need appointments on the weekend. MasterCard and Visa are accepted for your convenience.

“We’re not just people who own an automotive shop, we’re really automotive people. I’m a hands on owner and oversee all the projects. Everything is done in-house – we build our own engines and transmissions. We pride ourselves on running a tight shop, doing quality work and always being safety-minded.”
